At tentiveness of the college and peace of mind for parents-our school's 2019 parentexchange meeting ended successfully

    In the bright summer sun in August, we are welcoming a new life in themost beautiful South China Agricultural University. In order toenhance the understanding of new parents about our school and ourschool, and promote home-school co-education, the Faculty ofHumanities and Law held a 2019 parent exchange meeting at the 42Cultural and Creative Center on the afternoon of August 27. Theexchange meeting was chaired by Xiao Hua, deputy secretary of theParty Committee of our hospital.

    At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Xiao first introduced thebasic situation of our school and our college to parents. SecretaryXiao said that the Faculty of Humanities and Law is a humane college.Our counselors live in student dormitories and can communicate betterwith students and be in harmony with them. Secondly, our college hasperfect infrastructure and can provide a good learning and talentenvironment for all students.

    Then,he talked about the topic that parents care about most: education ofchildren. Secretary Xiao focused on the key words such as innovation,safety, professionalism, and self-discipline. "The arrival ofthe 5G era means the diversified development of the era. The creditsystem reform mechanism of our college can enable students tocomplete their studies faster and bring students more opportunities."He emphasized that children's family education should not be ignored,especially the ability of students to take care of themselves andendure hardships is very important for the development of students'mental health. "The college entrance examination is just acomma. College is a new starting point. Self-discipline is the mostrare quality in college." He believes that children should learnto communicate more with teachers, go to bed early and get up early,cultivate good study habits, and correct their learning attitude.

    Secretary Xiao Hua also focused on introducing the characteristics of variousmajors in our college. The pass rate of the Judicial Examination (nowthe legal vocational qualification exam) of the law major canmaintain the first place in the province in four years. This isclosely related to the academic style construction of our college:Chinese Language and Literature. It also has advantages in the rapiddevelopment of the self-media era; history and philosophy have greatdevelopment potential for postgraduate studies.

    In the end, Secretary Xiao emphatically mentioned the safety ofstudents, especially the use of high-power electrical appliances. Heintroduced vivid examples of the potential dangers of the use ofhigh-power electrical appliances.

    This meeting gave parents a better understanding of the intentions of ourschool for students, so that parents can rest assured that theirchildren will be handed over to the school. I hope that all newstudents can create a new chapter of their own life under theleadership of the college teachers!
