On July 18th, the South China Agricultural University OutstandingChinese Traditional Cultural Counselor Studio continued to organize ared root-seeking group to Shaoshan to carry out red root-seekingactivities. Shaoshan is the hometown of Chairman Mao, rich inhistory, culture and red educational resources. The root-seekinggroup and his party re-entered the road of great men of Shaoshan andfelt the growth of young Mao Zedong.
The first stop of the root-seeking group came to Shaoshan Mao ZedongMemorial Square. Here, the root-seeking delegation paid a wreath tothe bronze statue of Mao Zedong and always miss the great leaderChairman Mao! The root-seeking group also revisited the oath ofjoining the party and sang the red song "No New China Withoutthe Communist Party."
The second stop of the root-seeking group came to the Comrade Mao ZedongMemorial Hall in Shaoshan. The memorial is mainly composed of theformer residence of Mao Zedong, the former private school where hestudied in his youth, the old site of the Hunan Peasant Movement, andthe statues of the youth. As a memorial reflecting the life andglorious deeds of Comrade Mao Zedong, the precious treasures inComrade Mao Zedong ’s Memorial Hall fully show us that Comrade MaoZedong participated in the creation of the Communist Party of Chinaand the first rural revolutionary base, and then presided over theformulation of the anti-Japanese national united front. Founding thecountry and exploring the trajectory of the great life of socialistconstruction.
As one of the greatest leaders in the modern history of our country,Comrade Mao Zedong used his bravery and wisdom to resolve in his mostturbulent century, and used his sacrifice and selfless dedication tosink into suffering and turmoil. China, which has awakened its firmwill, has pointed out the direction of historical progress and openedup a path for development. He made great contributions to China'sindependence. Of course, behind a success is the accumulation ofexperience in countless failures. Chairman Mao is sometimes just anordinary person. The precious collection displayed in the memorialhall as an "ordinary person" makes us moved.
The third station of the root-seeking regiment came to the formerresidence of Comrade Mao Zedong in Shaoshan. The former residence ofComrade Mao Zedong in the hearts of the locals is not only a scenicspot, but also a spiritual home where the father and fellowvillagers' feelings towards great men are poured. It is a greatmonument built by the common people with firm belief and full ofenthusiasm. It is of great significance to the cultivation ofChairman Mao's red spirit and has laid the foundation for ChairmanMao's revolutionary pursuit of revolutionary truth and bloodystruggle for decades.
"The children are determined to leave the country, and they will not repayif they fail to learn their fame. The young Chairman Mao studied andgrew up here, and wrote this poem before leaving the country in 1910to express his mind. The former residence of Comrade Mao Zedong gaveus a deeper understanding of Comrade Mao Zedong ’s previous life,as well as a deeper understanding of the situation of China at thattime and the severity and hardship of the revolutionary situation.
"Overthrowingthree thousand years of history and self-made magnificent andmagnificent words", Comrade Mao Zedong is not only a greatrevolutionary leader, but also an outstanding poet. In the forest ofMao Zedong ’s poems not far from the former residence, theroot-seeking group and his party recited Chairman Mao ’s “TheSeven Laws to Shaoshan” in a poem, while enjoying the beauty ofShaoshan ’s natural scenery in the poems, they also increased theirrespect and love for Chairman Mao.
The fourth stop of the root-seeking group came to the drip hole west ofMao Zedong's hometown. The "Mysterious Western Cave" ofDishui Cave is where Chairman Mao Zedong met and worked in his oldage and on the eve of the Cultural Revolution. Chairman Mao oncelived here for 11 days, which is an important epitome of thedevelopment of New China in the twists and turns. In addition toplaces of daily life and office, the drip hole also has air-raidshelters, etc., which have the functions of anti-vibration,anti-virus and anti-nuclear explosion. The Dishui Cave extends intothe Huxiping Mountain Rock and is about 100 meters long. It canreally be said; "A hook of flowing water and a boxing mountain,here is a tiger's dragon plate; Lingxiu gathers people to know, andthe stone bridge is like a lock.
Afterwards,with the help of Director Zhang of the local village committee, theroot-seeking group went to visit Shaoshan's outstanding old partymember representative, Grandpa Mao Yuanzu. Grandpa Mao Yuanzu wasborn on August 14, 1951. He joined the army in 1970 and joined theCommunist Party of China in 1971. He has been 48 years old. Afterretiring and returning to his hometown, Grandpa Mao Yuanzu heldvarious posts in the village party secretary and contributed hisstrength to the development of his hometown. Grandpa Mao Yuanzu alsoshared his story of joining the army and joining the party to XungenTuan. His loyalty to the party, patriotism, and hard work have deeplyinfected us.
