On the morning of July 7, the “Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau GreaterBay Area Literature Week” series of writers entering the campusorganized by the Guangdong Writers Association was successfully heldat the College of Humanities and Law of South China AgriculturalUniversity. Critics, writers, and calligraphers, Wang Qian, associateeditor-in-chief of "Fiction Selection", was invited to givea literary lecture entitled "Previous Life and Present Life ofthe Dream of Red Mansions", Vice Chairman of Guangzhou WritersAssociation, Liu Disheng, Editor-in-Chief of "China", andJin Ming, Guangdong Writers Association , Wang Ying, director of theChinese Department of the College of Humanities and Law, and LiuXiuli, deputy director, attended the lecture. Many students, literaryenthusiasts, and journalists came to listen to the lecture actively.The talents from all walks of life gathered together and theatmosphere was warm.

TeacherWang Qian is very knowledgeable, has in-depth research on "Dreamof Red Mansions", and has his own unique insights. In thelecture, he mainly talked about several topics: (1) "Dream ofRed Mansions" and the creation of contemporary novels, whyshould we study today "Dream of Red Mansions", "Dreamof Red Mansions" influence on Chinese literature; (2) "Dreamof Red Mansions" is a collection of all Chinese classicalliterary aesthetics, draws a lot of classical culture, has a richpoetic heritage, "Dream of Red Mansions" and Li Shangyin"Jin Se" The origin of the imagery is similar to the styleimagery; (3) The far-reaching influence of imagery novels, theimagery writing method of "Dream of Red Mansions", and theimagery community constructed by "Dream of Red Mansions",both having their own imagery qualities and converging into a commonimagery world.

The content taught by Mr. Wang Qian is simple, the language is vivid, andthe audience has more than one hour of lectures. The dean of thedepartment, Wang Ying, said that Wang Qian's interpretation of "Dreamof Red Mansions" from the image world and spatial structure wasrefreshing, opened up new ideas, and broadened his personal horizons.In this lecture, Mr. Wang interacted with the audience cordially,patiently and meticulously answered their questions, and discussedthe old and often new topic of the Red Mansion with them.

After the lecture, Mr. Wang Qian improvised the calligraphy and gave it tothe College of Humanities and Law as a souvenir.
