Our College Holds the Symposium on Teachers' Morality Construction Theme Education

On the afternoon of October 15, 2019, the Faculty of Humanities and Lawheld a symposium on the theme of teacher ethics construction in theTeaching Staff House in Building 7. The forum was chaired by ZhongJijun, the vice president of the college.

General Secretary Xi Jinping once proposed that building a strong educationcountry is the basic project of the great rejuvenation of the Chinesenation, and called for "the whole party and the whole societyshould promote the social customs of respecting teachers andteaching" in the new era. Teachers in colleges and universitiesin the new era should be more aware of their "time-criticaltasks", and the construction of teacher ethics must have highstandards and strict control. During the symposium, Dean Zhongconveyed the spirit of the "Ten Guidelines for ProfessionalBehavior of College Teachers in the New Era" to theparticipating young teachers, and invited all teachers to expresstheir views on the theme of teacher ethics construction.

Teachers spoke enthusiastically and agreed that the "Ten Guidelines forProfessional Behavior of College Teachers in the New Era" coversa comprehensive range, which is not only the basic criterion forcollege teachers, but also a high standard for college teachers.University teachers should always pay attention to whether theystrictly abide by the guidelines in their daily words and deeds,classroom teaching, and scientific research. In the classroomteaching of teachers, we should pay attention to conveying thecorrect valuestostudents in the description of theoretical knowledge, whilediscussing social reality with students, and discussing solutions toproblems with students. This is a topic worthy of continuousexploration. In the daily work of teachers and the deeds and deeds ofgetting along with students, we must maintain a strict and intimateimage, be strict in professional and learning, and have an affinityfor students, so that students can be more willing to accept theteaching of teachers. In scientific research, while studying thedetails and professional direction, teachers should pay attention tothe research based on the actual conditions of the socialist systemwith Chinese characteristics, patriotic and abiding by the law, andfirming the political direction.

Finally, Dean Zhong said that at present the teachers of the college haveexcellent teaching and scientific research capabilities, possessgreat professional enthusiasm, and have good teacher ethics. I hopethat all teachers will not forget their original intentions, forgeahead, and give better play to the value of teaching and educatingpeople in their future work.
