At 9 a.m. on September 20, 2019, the School of Humanities and Law of ourschool joined hands with the People's Court of Ruyuan Yao AutonomousCounty of Shaoguan City to hold a "Real Court Trial into Campus"activity and openly hear a construction contract dispute in the firstteaching building.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the heat rose gradually, and there wasalready a crowd in front of the first teaching building. In order toseize this rare opportunity to observe the real court trial, manystudents came to the mock court early and the event was full. Aftersitting down, the students quickly shut down their phones and waitedquietly and orderly for the trial to begin.

After the trial, the judges of Ruyuan Court had a cordial exchange with thestudents. The questions raised by the classmates who first came intocontact with the real court trial were answered enthusiastically andin detail by the judges, and the atmosphere was lively.

After the questioning session, Mr. Deng Dingyong, deputy director of theLaw Department of the School of Humanities and Law, delivered aconcluding speech. He first thanked the judges and staff of RuyuanCourt for coming to our school for a wonderful practical educationactivity with his classmates. This event is organized by the South China Agricultural University LegalPractice Teaching Center-Huanong Moot Court, which is responsible forthe preliminary preparation and on-site organization of the event.

People-oriented,the combination of teaching and practice has always been the coreconcept of the law department of the School of Humanities and Law ofSouth China Agricultural University. The School of Humanities and Lawat South China Agricultural University established a legal practiceteaching center in 2016, with seven branches including a legal aidcenter, a legal clinic, a mock court, an innovation andentrepreneurship legal service center, a mock United Nations, a legaldebate team, and an intellectual property center. Carry out thedevelopment and application of the legal practice teachingintegration platform, which is the first in Guangdong and thenational leader. In recent years, the passingrate of legal vocational examinations of the law students of ourschool has also been ranked in the forefront of Guangdong Province.The South China Agricultural University Moot Court is one of thebranches of the South China Agricultural University Legal PracticeTeaching Center. It is a laboratory of the Huanong Law TeachingPractice and a platform for the exchange of legal activities tocultivate professional knowledge-based legal talents. For the purposeof the activity, the goal is for law students to practice legalpractical skills in legal practice, thereby strengthening the abilityto operate legal practice.
