The expert group of national ancient books protection center visited the institute of agricultural history of our university

On June 4th, by our country famous version connoisseur, bibliophile WeiLi Sir, tsinghua university library research librarian, Dr Liuqiang national protection of ancient books protection center office team leader Mr Zhao Wenyou expert group composed of ancient booksprotection center in the southern province of guangdong, secretary general of the researcher at joy accompanied by to visit our school,for China's agricultural heritage institute's library field. Secretary zhang hui, President Yang nailiang, deputy secretary xiaohua, vice President zheng tingyi, vice President zhong jijun,director ni genjin, deputy director wang fuchang, professor weiluling, professor Yang liu, lecturer xie ping, lecturer yu gege ofthe school of humanities and law attended the reception and discussion.

The symposium was presided over by President Yang nailiang and welcomedby secretary zhang hui. They expressed their warm welcome and thanksto the team of experts who came to inspect our school in the heavyrain. Secretary zhang hui also briefly introduced the history of theinstitute of agricultural history and the general situation of theancient books. Mr WeiLi on behalf of the expert group delivered aspeech, he said that south China agricultural university, instituteof agricultural history collection is very distinctive, main purposeof this trip is assigned by the national center for protection ofancient books, to declare in our school eight "sixth batch ofnational rare ancient books list" check the book, while studying ancient books in our school library environment and conditions of thewarehouse. Professor ni genjin reported to the expert group the collection history and protection measures of ancient books in the institute, as well as the progress made in the study of ancient booksin recent years.

Afterwards,secretary zhang hui, vice President zheng tingyi and professor nigenjin accompanied the expert group to visit the ancient bookslibrary and check the submitted bibliography. The expert group was satisfied with the reconstruction of a new storehouse of ancient books by the institute of agricultural history, and believed that theeight "sixth batch of national precious ancient books list"were up to the standard. They also identified the value and status ofsome ancient books collected in the storehouse from the perspective of editions, such as "Ming dynasty fish scale atlas" and"authentic articles from the west mountain". After careful investigation, the expert group agreed that the precious collection of the institute of agricultural history of our university is more abundant than expected, and this trip is very fruitful. It issuggested that the school should increase the personnel of ancient books restoration, strengthen the protection and restoration ofancient books, and do a good job in the digital rescue of ancientbooks. At the same time, we will redouble our efforts to apply forthe next batch of "national precious ancient books list"and strive for "national key protection units of ancient books".
