[activity preview] ancient books protect you and me -- ancient books repair skills into the campus

To welcome the 2019 years of China's "cultural and natural heritage day",to promote Chinese excellent traditional culture heritage, publicizethe idea for the protection of ancient books, the promotion ofancient books repairing techniques, ancient books protection centerof guangdong province and south China agricultural university college of humanities and law, China's agricultural heritage research institute, the library will be on June 13 (Thursday) but passion -17:30pm, in south China agricultural university library on the firstfloor hall, jointly organized the "ancient books protection youme - ancient books repairing skills into campus" activity. The content of the activity is as follows:

1. Experienceof book binding.

Do you want to know the binding form of ancient books? Want to know what ancientbooks looked like? Before printing was invented, books are copied 缣帛and paper, this period is scroll binding books. After the popularity ofwoodblock printing, the binding of ancient books was improved to theform of man pages, and several shapes such as whirlwind packaging,butterfly packaging, packaging, and line packaging appearedsuccessively. Thread-bound books are still in use today. In thisactivity, you can pick up rice paper, needle and thread by yourself. Under the guidance of the teacher, you can travel through thousandsof years to make your own thread-bound book.

2. Wood bapped printing experience Block

printing, which started in the tang dynasty, was founded in the five dynasties, flourished in the two song dynasties, and extended over the yuan andMing dynasties. In this activity, the repairman will teach you the skills of page printing, so that you can experience the ancientprinting.

3. Transcribingsiku quanshu

This activity will provide the reproduction materials of "sikuquanshu" on the spot, so that you can experience the copying of"siku quanshu", display the calligraphy skills, and feelthe charm of traditional culture by writing with pen and ink.

4. Experience activities of stele spreading and expansion

As an intangible cultural heritage of China, chuangtuo is a technique of rubbing characters, graphics and or namentation carved and cast on articles onpaper with paper and ink as materials. In this activity, the repairman will teach you the skills of spreading and extending on thespot, so that you can experience the whole process of making stelerubbings in the late qing dynasty and get the works made by yourself.
